The Harrison Police Department is located at 116 S. Spring Street and has 41 full time employees and 1 part time employee that faithfully assists the citizens in our community. Employees included in the Police Department are Patrol Officers, Detectives, School Resource Officers, Dispatchers, Clerks and Animal Control Officers. Police Department employees are devoted to serving the citizens of Harrison with integrity and professionalism.

Police Chief Pat Murphy
Chief Murphy hails from North Richland Hills, Texas where he has 30 years of police experience. Pat came to our department in June of 2008.
Pat Murphy began his full time police carer in 1978 with the North Richland Hills,Texas Police Department where he moved through the ranks to the position of Police Captain. Pat retired from the Texas Police Department in August 2008 to become the Police Chief for the City of Harrison. During his tenure in Law Enforcement he has been involved in nearly all aspects of modern policing including patrol, criminal investigations, community services, internal affairs and training. Murphy is a a graduate of both the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas and the Southwestern Legal Institute. Chief Murphy is deeply committed to serving the community of Harrison, Arkansas and as is extremely proud to be a member of its Police Department.

School Resource Officers contribute to the school communities by their daily presence on the school grounds and their participation in the activities of the students. School Resource Officers act as mentors and leaders to the youth of the City of Harrison.
