The group was established in 1992.  Their mission is to plan for and develop resources necessary to improve the health, recreational, and social services in Boone County.  They meet quarterly at Northark College, but check the Facebook page for day and time.

House of Hope
A safe place where the homeless can connect with services that will enable them to become stable in their housing situation.  They provide immediate basic needs as well as help clients find jobs, get into their own home, or get into drug/alcohol rehabilitation programs.   Donations graciously accepted.

A volunteer network for people 55 and over.  Serving Benton, Boone, Carroll, Crawford, Madison, Marion, Sebastian and Washington counties.  Matches individuals  with local and national organizations, providing Disaster Services, Economic Opportunity, Education, Environmental Stewardship, Healthy Futures, and Veterans and Military Families.

Hillcrest Home had 59 volunteers serving 20,614 hours,
totaling $465,737 in contributions;
Jr Auxiliary had 43 volunteers  serving 1,092 hours,
totaling $62,873 in contributions;
St Johns Episcopal Church had 84 volunteers, serving 800 hours,
totaling $29,391 in contributions;
AAA of NW AR had 2009 volunteers serving 127,029 hours,
totaling $2,890,516 in contributions.

Organized in 2003, and is affiliated with the Arkansas Society for Human Resources Management (ARSHRM) as well as national SHRM.  The purpose of the organization is to promote, support and develop Human Resources professionals as well as professionals from related fields, in Harrison and the surrounding region.  NAHRA offers networking opportunites for valuable contacts at local companies, and educational opportunites through a variety of speakers invited to present on topics related to HR.

Meetings are held (Jan-May & Sept-Oct) @ Western Sizzlin from 11:30 - 1:00 p.m. on the fourth Tues of the month.  For more information see:  nahrahr.shrm.org.
