Thank you, Volunteer: Peggy Jackson

Peggy owned and operated her own business for many years before coming to Harrison, and since retiring, she loves to volunteer at City Hall. “It gives me something to do, and I feel good about giving back to our community. I love seeing people and learning about things happening around the city.”

“There is a quick list manual with everyone’s name, phone extension, and answers to frequently asked questions. This comes in very handy,” she points to the notebook. “There is always someone around who can answer a question I can’t. We are a very blessed city.”

“There are also times different groups provide lunch for the staff, and they always include a plate for us volunteers, too. That’s always fun.”

“When the Community Center opens, we will have additional volunteer opportunities at the information desk and swimming area. So it would be good if people could get trained before opening in the spring,” she said. “It’s always a great feeling to give back to the community.”

See Peggy on Tuesday afternoons from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. Thank you, Peggy.
