The Code Enforcement Office has been reorganized into the Harrison Fire Department’s Community Risk Reduction Division and is no longer under the Department of Public Works. Information regarding building permits, inspections, & business licences can be found by clicking here.
Planning and Zoning is administered by the City of Harrison Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Adjustment. Department of Public Works staff serve to support the Commission and Board in the administration of the City’s Zoning Code and Land Development Regulations. The Department also administers the City’s Floodplain Regulations and participation in FEMA’s Nation Floodplain Insurance Program (NFIP). Important forms and documents are available below. PROPOSED UPDATES TO ZONING CODE AND LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS
The City is currently considering various updates to the Zoning Code and Land Development Regulations. A public hearing will be help on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 5:30PM in the Council Chambers at Harrison City Hall. Copies of the proposed code changes can be downloaded below and are also available for review at the Harrison Public Works Facility and the City Clerk’s Office.
