Thank you, Volunteer: Chuck Wiley

Chuck Wiley is very happy to have moved back to Harrison. He loves volunteering at City Hall. “I really don’t know everything, but it’s fun. There’s a notebook here with many names, numbers, and answers to frequently asked questions. That is helpful.”

He doesn’t let his walker slow him down, and his face is a bright smile for anyone who enters. “I especially enjoy being involved with the city.”

In his previous professional life, he was in the Air Force and was a technical writer for operating and repairing F-111 and F-16 fighter airplanes and helicopters. He also worked with the NSA and CIA and is honored to be part of one-half of one percent of those selected to do the job he did for the NSA.

He loves electronic equipment and wrote the first manual for a mail sorting machine. In his past civilian life, he was a social worker as a juvenile and adult probation officer. He’s also operated a shelter for child productive services.

When he lived in Harrison many years ago, he wrote the content for the “Family Album” page with Lifestyle Editor Shirley Curtis in the Harrison Daily Times.

Thank you for your military and social service and for helping us at City Hall. See Chuck on Wednesday afternoons from noon until 4 p.m.
